Ingredients
For the Potato Fritters:
- 4 medium potatoes, grated
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Creamy Garlic Dip:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp chopped dill or parsley
- Pinch of salt
- Sprinkle of paprika or chili flakes (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Fritters:
- Peel and grate the potatoes, then squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- In a large bowl, combine grated potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Scoop a spoonful of mixture and flatten it into a patty in the skillet.
- Fry for 3–4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
2. Make the Garlic Dip:
- In a bowl, mix yogurt (or sour cream), garlic, dill, and mayonnaise (if using).
- Season with salt, then top with paprika or chili flakes for garnish.
