This easy oven recipe combines tender chicken with a rich cranberry glaze

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup French dressing (or Catalina dressing)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, mix cranberry sauce, dry onion soup mix, French dressing, brown sugar (if using), and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Arrange the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the Cranberry Mixture: Pour the cranberry sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, coating each piece.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 45–55 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Optional Finish: Remove foil during the last 10 minutes to slightly caramelize the top.
  7. Serve: Spoon extra sauce over the chicken before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
