🍕 Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

🛒 Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1/2 lb (225g) Italian sausage
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade dough)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Add garlic, ground beef, and Italian sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Line a deep pie dish with one pie crust.
- Layer half of the mozzarella cheese on the bottom.
- Add the meat mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Top with pepperoni slices, remaining mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.
- Cover with second pie crust. Seal and crimp edges. Cut small slits on top to vent.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.
