For the Cake
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil

- ½ cup brown sugar

- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup powdered sugar

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. -
Prepare the Cake Batter
In a large mixing bowl combine:- yellow cake mix
- eggs
- vegetable oil
- milk
- brown sugar
- vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and well combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. -
Make the Praline Glaze
While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze.In a saucepan over medium heat combine:
- butter
- brown sugar
- cream
Stir constantly until the butter melts and the mixture begins to bubble slightly.

Finish the Glaze
Remove from heat and stir in:- vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
- chopped pecans
Mix until smooth and glossy.

Pour the Glaze
When the cake comes out of the oven, allow it to cool for about 5–10 minutes. Pour the warm praline glaze evenly over the cake so it slightly soaks into the top. -
Serve
Allow the glaze to set slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
