Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 1 can (24 oz) marinara sauce
Optional additions:
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions

Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is softened.
Drain any excess fat. -
Add Ingredients to the Slow Cooker
Transfer the cooked beef and onion mixture to the slow cooker.
Add the marinara sauce and stir well to combine. -
Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for about 3 hours to allow the flavors to blend. -
Add the Pasta
Stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni along with 1½ cups water.
Cover and cook for another 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta becomes tender. -
Optional Cheese Topping
If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
