Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions

Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish. -
Cook the Beef
In a skillet, cook ground beef with diced onion until browned.
Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper. -
Make the Sauce
In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth. -
Layer the Casserole
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish
- Add half of the beef mixture
- Pour some of the sauce
- Sprinkle cheese
- Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top

Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. -
Serve
Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
