  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  5. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  6. Optional Broil: Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for extra browning.
  7. Serve: Let rest a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with salad, roasted vegetables, rice, or flatbread.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with garlic yogurt sauce or marinara sauce
  • Pair with mashed potatoes or crispy fries
  • Add to sandwich buns for cheesy burger-style patties

Tips

  • Add chili flakes or cumin for extra flavor.
  • Substitute mozzarella with cheddar for a sharper taste.
  • Prepare ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
Pro Tip:
Make sure the cheese is completely sealed inside the meat to prevent it from leaking out during baking.
