Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole is the ultimate no-fuss comfort meal. Everything goes straight into one dish—no pre-cooking required—and bakes into a cheesy, hearty dinner packed with tender pasta, flavorful meatballs, and rich marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (about 25 oz) frozen meatballs
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (penne or rotini work best)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional:

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients
    In a large baking dish, add:
    • Uncooked pasta
    • Marinara sauce
    • Water or broth
    Stir to combine.
  2. Add Meatballs
    Nestle the frozen meatballs evenly into the mixture.
  3. Cover & Bake
    Cover tightly with foil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 35 minutes.
  4. Add Cheese
    Remove foil, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
  5. Finish Baking
    Return to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve
    Let rest for a few minutes, then serve warm.
    Garnish with parsley if desired.

Storage

  • Refrigerator: Store up to 4 days.
  • Freezer: Freeze up to 2 months.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the oven or microwave until heated through.
