Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15–18 minutes
Total Time: 25–30 minutes
Servings: 16 croissant bites

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage (beef or turkey sausage)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated croissant dough (or crescent roll dough)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Topping

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until fully browned, breaking it apart while cooking. Drain excess grease and allow the sausage to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well blended. Add shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper if using.
  3. Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Fill the Croissants
Place about 1 tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end toward the tip to form the croissant shape. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  5. Optional Egg Wash
Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or parsley if desired.
  6. Bake
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the croissants are puffed and golden brown.
  7. Serve
Allow the croissants to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
