Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Make the Silky Sauce
    In a saucepan:
    • Melt butter
    • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute
    • Slowly whisk in milk until smooth
    Cook until thickened, then add cheese, salt, and pepper.

  2. Assemble
