🛒 Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or chicken thighs
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 packet chicken gravy mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker gravy)
- 2 tablespoons water (if thickening)
Optional Garnish
- Fresh chopped parsley

Prepare the Slow Cooker
Lightly grease the slow cooker or crockpot with non-stick spray or a small amount of oil. -
Add the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts or thighs in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker. -
Mix the Gravy Base
In a bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, gravy mix, onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined. -
Pour Over the Chicken
Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken and place the butter on top. -
Slow Cook
Cover and cook on:- LOW: 5–6 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
The chicken should become very tender and easy to shred.

Optional Thickening
If you prefer thicker gravy, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes of cooking. -
Serve
Shred or slice the chicken and stir it into the gravy. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
