Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 small head of cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base
    Place the cabbage wedges in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Add Chicken
    Lay the chicken thighs on top of the cabbage.
  3. Season & Add Liquid
    Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (optional).
    Pour in the chicken broth and add butter if using.
  4. Cook
    Cover and cook on:
    • LOW: 5–6 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
    Until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Serve
    Serve hot, spooning the flavorful juices over the chicken and cabbage.
    Pairs well with:
    • Rice
    • Mashed potatoes
    • Crusty bread
