🍚🥛 Slow Cooker Rice Pudding

A rich, slow-cooked rice pudding with warm vanilla flavor —
perfect for cozy evenings or make-ahead dessert.


📝 Ingredients

  • ¾ cup short-grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Optional add-ins:

  • Raisins
  • Lemon zest
  • Nutmeg
  • Toasted coconut

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Combine

Lightly grease the slow cooker with butter.

Add rice, milk, cream (if using), sugar, salt, and butter. Stir gently.

2️⃣ Cook

Cover and cook on:

  • LOW for 3–4 hours
  • or
  • HIGH for 2–2½ hours

Stir once or twice during cooking if possible.

3️⃣ Finish

When rice is tender and mixture thick and creamy, stir in vanilla and cinnamon.

If pudding thickens too much, add a splash of warm milk.

4️⃣ Serve

Serve warm or chilled.
