- 2 cups (480ml) whole milk
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal of the bars.
2. Make the Crust:
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it turns golden brown. Set it aside to cool slightly while preparing the custard.
